I have been painting for about 7 years and first fell in love with watercolours after watching a watercolour artist painting an island scene while on holidays!
I like to capture colourful images inspired by nature, such as a beautiful flower or a serene seascape which transports one to faraway places! Watercolour is the perfect medium because of its versatility and vibrancy which can be subtle or vivid in intensity!
The colours flow like magic with the addition of water and what was once a hobby has now become a passion.
Since 2013 Scattered Arts has been holding a yearly themed competition and exhibition. The competition is open to anyone living in Queensland. The exhibition opens with an awards night and runs for a week usually in early September. Best in Show prize of $1,000 open to all entries.
