Scattered Arts Members offer a variety of classes and workshops.
So if you would like to learn a new craft or sharpen up some rusty skills have a look at what is on offer.

Bookings are made via Trybooking, with a link provided with each class detail when classes are open for bookings.

Each class cost varies and they run for approximately 2 hours. In some instances include all materials.

Resin jewellery making workshop with Laura from Timber Heart Creations
Join me for a fun few hours of jewellery making in the gallery. You will learn how to make your own earrings, pendants, or rings using timber or plastic moulds & colourful resin.
Whether you have been itching to try something new or put your trusty creative shoes back on, this workshop is perfect for those who want to learn the basics of jewellery making with resin. What we cover in the class: Mixing and working with resin; Choosing your colours and embellishments, Mould pouring
Class includes: All materials and you get 2 pieces of jewellery of your choice.
Resin has to be left to set for 24h. We will make arrangements in class for you to collect your finished pieces at a later date.
Printmaking for Beginners with Tamara Shaw
Ever wanted to learn how to print? I will show you how to carve a rubber block (a new version of linocut and easier to carve) and print your carving on paper. After an enjoyable and fun couple of hours, you will be able to take home a couple of prints, a carving (approx 10cm x 10cm rubber block), and a carving tool to carry on the creativity at home! Painting classes – 3 hour classes with Amie Dupuy
These types of 3-hour Watercolour classes are suitable for students with “LIMITED” to “NO” watercolour experience. Amie teaches each student to understand how to paint flowers using various techniques such as lifting, dragging and glazing in combination with the essentials of watercolour techniques such as wet on wet, wet on dry, as well as using other mediums such as salt on the background. Watercolour for beginners – 5 week course with Amie Dupuy
Amie Dupuy’s 5-week course is intended to be a relaxing environment for students with a “LIMITED” to “NO” watercolour experience.
We aim to teach each student basic watercolour essentials and basic watercolour techniques, as well as using other mediums for effects. We teach step-by-step painting methods with a project for each session.
Basic materials provided: Paints, brushes, spray water bottles, water jars, paper towels. Every Thursday 12:00 pm – 14:30 pm
Wine and Watercolour with Amie Dupuy
Join local professional watercolour artist, Amie Dupuy for a fun-filled evening as she takes you through the basic essential skills and techniques used in watercolour. No experience required!
Amie will be there to guide you in your creative process and provide inspirations to bring about a fantastic painting that you will be proud to take home on an A5 frame. Choose from 3 different designs, bird, flower, or mandala.

Coiled basket Workshop
Learn the mindful art of creating Textile Coiled Rope Baskets/Bowls.
In this fun, and relaxed class you will learn introductory techniques and construction skills to create colourful bowls, baskets, or planters made from used upcycled fabrics.
Class includes demonstration and discussion of:
• fundamental tuition
• suitable fabrics
• stitching technique
• how to start and finish a basket off.
At the end of the class, you will have the skills and requirements to complete your creative piece!
Jewellery skills with Pauline Stevens
A beginner’s class on how to use jewellery/beading tools. Pauline will show you how to complete a piece of jewellery to take home. Advanced classes are available on request.

At the end of the class, you will take home your creative piece!
Beginners Nuno Felted Scarf Workshop
In this workshop, you will learn foundation wet felting by making and taking home your own piece of wearable art. You will be guided in the layout of your Nuno scarf using silk, merino wool, and embellishments. All felting materials will be supplied on the day, You will just need to bring 1 or 2 old towels. The class number is limited to ensure each participant gains the most from this learning experience.
Creative Textile Art Group with Pat Jefferies
New class available If you love fabric and art and would like to join a fabric art class come along to our group. We will use fabric to create/upcycle items into something that will be funky, creative, and beautiful.
Crochet with Michele Renshaw
Available on 3rd Wednesday of the month by arrangement
Knitting and crocheting are useful skills to learn, enabling you to make rugs, bags, accessories, and useful objects. To be held in conjunction with the Knitting/ Crocheting club please see note.
Bag or Book Workshop with Wendy Goode
Available on 4th Wednesday of the month by arrangement 10 am – 3 pm
Produce a handy denim tote bag or denim notebook cover using fabric printing, applique, beading, and basic machining techniques.

Beginners’ Felting with Lyn Spence
Times Arranged to suite
Learn to make a felted flower. Lyn will teach you the basics of hand felting and you will come away with a beautiful flower.
Paper Tole with Nellie Hattin
Available Thursdays by arrangement 10 am – 12noon
Nellie will help you to create amazing 3D designs for cards.
Zentangle Art Therapy

Learn the art of Zentangle. It’s like doodling and so is easy to learn. The Zentangle method is enjoyed by people of all skill levels. It doesn’t require any previous art experience and the materials are inexpensive which makes it a great hobby that is not only affordable but portable.
Girls Time Out
Gather a few friends and spend some time together and learn a new craft.

Watercolour Painting – with Maria Field – all levels welcome, the emphasis is placed on developing skills to compose your own paintings. Materials are not included and a list will be provided when you book. Contact the gallery for more information or to register your interest in this class.
Friday Wrap is a social group that will meet on the 4th Friday of the month from 6 – 8 pm. It is simply time out to let go and ease into the weekend. It is called Wrap for a reason – Women Relaxing and Playing. Tea, coffee, and nibbles – BYO tipple if you wish.
